Tall riding boots are one of the most elegant pieces of proper riding apparel. The Ariat Heritage II Field boots have zippers on the back of the leg and can easily be worn everyday. Just zip in and out! Knee boots, as they are called in England, are designed to fit right up under the back of the rider's knee when they are seated in the saddle. The height of the back of the boot should measure at least 1" taller than your own leg measurement. This extra height is for when the boot drops as it breaks in. To measure yourself to determine the height of your tall boot; Wearing socks and breeches, sit in a chair with your thigh at a right angle to your calf. Measure from the back of your knee to the floor. Add 1" û 1 1/4" to that measurement.
This boot is made of full grain leather and has a zipper running the length of the back of the calf. It also has an elastic gusset on the inside of the knee to allow for an easier fit.
